• Account data — username, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord ID, username and avatar.
• Profile & content — your bio, avatar/cover images, favourite games, social links, and anything you post: posts, stories, reels, comments, messages, community content, listings and tournament/league entries.
• Competitive & wallet data — match results, wagers, virtual and real-money balances, and transactions. Real-money payments are processed by PayPal; we do not store your full card or bank details.
• Usage & technical data — IP address, device/browser information, and activity needed to operate the service (e.g. presence/online status).
• Cookies & session data — a session cookie that keeps you signed in (see section 6).

• Provide, operate and secure the platform and your account.
• Show your profile, content and activity to other users as you direct.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, wagers and marketplace transactions.
• Send you notifications and service emails (e.g. result confirmations, security).
• Prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We process data to provide the service you request, with your consent (which you may withdraw), to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform. Where the GDPR or similar laws apply to you, these are the legal bases we rely on.

We share data only as needed to run the service, including with:

• PayPal — to process real-money deposits, withdrawals and payments.
• Discord — if you choose to sign in with Discord (OAuth).
• Email delivery — to send you service and notification emails.
• Hosting & infrastructure providers — which store the data needed to run the site.
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

We do not sell your personal data.

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in and secure your session. It is essential for the site to function and cannot be disabled while you are logged in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Some records (e.g. transaction and wager history) may be retained longer where required for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data except where retention is legally required.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

X-Esports is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Features involving real-money wagers are restricted to adults (see our Terms). If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data (including password hashing and encrypted connections). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you.
